Dr. Kamran Kowsari

Kamran Kowsari is a Data Scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles, Office of Health informatics and analytics (OHIA). He earned his Ph.D. from the School of Engineering and Applied Science of the University of Virginia. His advisors are professor Laura E. Barnes and Donald E. Brown. He earned his Master of Science from The George Washington University in 2014, which master advisor was Professor Simon Berkovich. He also started an important research project in his MS. by using Golay Code technique for clustering into big data. His experience includes numerous projects and academic projects. His research interests area is medical informatics, mobile health, machine learning, mathematical modeling, algorithms, and data structure, and data manning biomedical computing and visualization.
